No, this was not printed in Issue 3. This was one of the test pages that DW sent me to see if I was capable of working for them. Now looking at it (about 3 months later), I noticed all I really needed to do was change the levels and desaturate some things and it would have looked kinda neat. The hair blows, still.
If you buy Devil May Cry book 3 (approximate $4), you can see the printed version vs. mine. You'll see a lot of minor details in mine that aren't in the printed version.
I'm working on coloring more pages for personal practice right now.
It's not a matter than another one was chosen over mine. They gave me this page after it was already done. They were simply testing me. I was working full-time at a paper mill when they wanted me to work for them, so I really had no time at all.
I'm not working for them right now, but their Art Director said there will most likely be work for me from them in the future. So I'm spending my time getting better!
Lol, I think that's what I did...I don't remember, for the life of me.
I think I've repressed the memories!
My favorite boss was Shadow, and my least favorite was that goddamn spider. Look up my journals- there's a big rang about him called "Rawr rawr rawr rawr fuck fuck fuck fuck" or something to that profane extent...

A brand new monthly article which showcases some of deviantART's finest equine artists, as well as recognizing the lesser-known but equally talented ones. Interviews, helpful tutorials and features can all be found here too! I hope you enjoy it.
The idea of this contest is to set you up completely blind with a mythical being - from any world culture - and turn you loose to come up with a deviation based around it!
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
When it comes to community spirit, `Rushy is a shining example. From participating in devmeets, to providing positive encouragement to other artists, `Rushy can always be found demonstrating what it really takes to be a true deviant. It's without any hesitation that we are delighted to award the Deviousness Award for July 2009 to `RushyRead More

I'd wouldn't mind seeing the more recent stuff you mentioned....since, you are basically the reason I desided to come check out deviant.
